No. Instinction can analyze public channel information without asking for your YouTube login. Private measurements such as retention, watch time, impressions, and thumbnail click-through rate require a future authorized YouTube connection.
ScansHow many free scans do I get?+
Free accounts receive two channel scans every 30 days and can analyze up to 50 published videos per scan. Active Creator memberships include unlimited scans and up to 500 videos per scan.
ReportsWhat is the difference between Shorts and long form?+
The no-login dashboard uses public duration as its filter: videos up to three minutes are treated as Shorts and videos longer than three minutes are treated as long form. YouTube does not expose its definitive Shorts classification through the public data used by Instinction.
PlansWhat is included with Creator?+
Creator includes unlimited scans, up to 500 published videos per scan, performance by video length, hashtag opportunities for every analyzed video, and the complete Title & Description Lab.
PlansWhat does Creator Pro add?+
Creator Pro adds engagement by video length and is designed for creators managing multiple formats or channels. Features marked Coming soon cannot be purchased until they are enabled.
BillingHow do I manage or cancel my subscription?+
Sign in to Instinction, open your account billing controls, and choose Manage billing. Stripe’s secure portal lets you update payment details or cancel. Your access remains active through the paid billing period when applicable.
AccountsI forgot my password. What should I do?+
Choose Sign in, select Forgot password, and enter the email used for your Instinction account. The reset link expires after 30 minutes. Check spam or promotions if it does not arrive promptly.
DataHow is engagement calculated?+
Public engagement is calculated as likes plus comments divided by views, multiplied by 100. It is a public interaction rate—not YouTube audience retention or watch time.
CompetitorsHow does competitor analysis work?+
Add public YouTube channel URLs to compare recent pace, top videos, engagement, and momentum. Instinction supports up to four neighboring channels in a channel cul-de-sac.
PrivacyDoes Instinction store my YouTube password?+
No. The public analysis flow never asks for or stores your YouTube password. Do not send passwords, API keys, payment-card numbers, or other secrets through the contact form.
